The Farmingdale State College women's basketball team improved to 13-0 on the season with wins over Mount Saint Vincent (triple overtime), Old Westbury and defending Skyline champion Mount Saint Mary. Senior guard Kimberly Blakney was named Skyline Player of the Week after averaging 32.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.0 steals, 4.0 assists and 3.7 blocked shots in three games for the Rams. College of Mount Saint Vincent senior Courtney Heesemann averaged a double-double in three road games for the Dolphins last week. Heesemann, who averaged 17.0 points and 10.3 rebounds while shooting 71.0 percent (22-for-31), was named the Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Mount Saint Mary opened Skyline women's basketball play with three conference wins last week. Senior forward Shannon Sangster recorded two double-doubles as well as a 20-point, seven-rebound performance in the Blue Knights' 67-45 win at Mount Saint Vincent.
