THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – SUNY Maritime College has announced the appointment of Dick Hack to lead the men’s basketball program for the 2010-11 campaign. Hack, who will continue to serve as the college's Director of Athletics, brings 19 years of collegiate head coaching experience to the Privateer program.

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Purchase College, SUNY junior forward Marvin Billups, the conference's leading scorer, was selected as the Skyline Conference Player of the Year in men's basketball. The Sage Colleges freshman forward Matt Farbotko earned Rookie of the Year honors while Yeshiva University veteran head coach Dr. Jonathan Halpert was chosen by his peers as Coach of the Year.

Seven Skyline Conference basketball teams advanced to the postseason. The Purchase men's basketball team earned the school's first NCAA tournament bid in any sport while Farmingdale State and Mount Saint Mary both earned NCAA bids in women's basketball.
