LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - Farmingdale State College sophomore shortstop Nicole Farber, the conference leader in home runs and runs batted in, was selected as the Skyline Conference Player of the Year in softball. Farmingdale State freshman pitcher Hope Zino earned Pitcher of the Year honors while Purchase outfielder Jillian Lucas received Rookie of the Year.

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - Farmingdale State College earned its first Skyline Conference softball title and NCAA tournament bid as rain forced the cancellation of the final day of the conference championship. As the tournament's top seed, the Rams will now carry a 32-4 overall record into postseason play.

Farmingdale State sophomore pitcher Heather Buckshaw, who was named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week in softball, struck out 23 batters and walked just one in 24 innings of work over four games.
