Farmingdale State College junior shortstop Nicole Farber, who led the conference with a .533 average and 68 runs batted in, was a repeat selection as Skyline Conference Player of the Year in softball. Farmingdale State sophomore pitcher Hope Zino also earned Pitcher of the Year honors for the second straight season. NYU-Poly freshman shortstop Shelby Bruns was chosen as the conference's Rookie of the Year.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Polytechnic Institute of NYU rallied for an 8-7 victory over Farmingdale State College in eight innings, capturing its first Skyline Conference title and earning the first NCAA bid in program history. Freshman first baseman Corinne Fitzgibbons was selected as the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
