Crowley selected Skyline Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year; Bard receives Men's and Women's Cross Country Team Sportsmanship Awards

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. - St. Joseph's College veteran cross country coach Jim Crowley was selected by his peers as the Skyline Conference Coach of the Year in both men's and women's cross country.  Crowley, who recently completed his 11th season as the Golden Eagles' cross country coach, directed both the men's and women's squads to Skyline championships.

Crowley's women's squad captured its third consecutive Skyline championship.  The Golden Eagles had five of the top 12 finishers, with six runners earning All-Skyline Conference honors by placing in the top 14.

On the men's side, Crowley's team captured its first Skyline Conference title.  St. Joseph's had five men earn All-Skyline honors by finishing in the top 14.

In addition to winning the Skyline Championships, the St. Joseph's women and men were the conference's top teams at both the ECAC and NCAA Regional Championships.  The women won five meets during the season while the men won three.

Bard College, directed by head coach Fred Pavlich, received the Team Sportsmanship Awards in both men's and women's cross country.  Each coach in the conference gives a sportsmanship score to each school ranging from 1 to 10 with 10 representing outstanding sportsmanship.  A rating is determined by averaging the coaches' rankings.  Bard had the highest rating in both men's and women's cross country.
