PATCHOGUE, NY – The St. Joseph's College Softball team was ranked 18th in the season ending poll conducted by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. It is the first time the Golden Eagles have been ranked in the Division III national poll.

St. Joseph's had their best-ever season this spring as they reached the finals of the NCAA Championship Regional round in Providence, Rhode Island. The 2008 Skyline Champions finished the year with a program-record 33 wins and an unbeaten conference record of 16-0.

The team was led by the 2008 Skyline Coach Staff of the Year, Al Sciangula, along with assistant coaches Fred Cohen and Tony Musso.
