Skyline Spotlight: Kirsten Ackerman, Sage

2013 Season Highlights: Owns a record of 11-2 in singles action, while holding a record of 8-1 in dual match competition as the Gators' No. 1 singles player….competed at the prestigious 2013 USTA/ITA Northeast Regionals (Sept. 28-30) at William Smith and became the first player in program history to advance to the quarterfinals of the singles competition…earned wins over a pair of seeded players ibefore falling to the No. 4 overall seed…has been named the Skyline Player of the Week in each of the first four weeks of the 2013 campaign. 

Career Highlights: Ackerman posted a perfect 13-0 mark in dual match singles play last year, while standing at 14-1 overall in singles…notched a 6-0 record at No. 1 singles in conference play…teamed at doubles and held the No. 2 position, going 4-1 at No. 2 and 1-0 at No. 1 doubles in 2012…was tabbed the Skyline Player of the Year and first-team All-Conference for her efforts…garnered Player of the Week distinction on three occasions in 2012. 

In The Classroom: A Dean’s List student, she is a Nutrition major at Sage…was named to the Skyline Commissioner’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2012 semester.
