FARMINGDALE, NY -
Top-seeded Farmingdale State College captured its third-consecutive Skyline Conference Women's Tennis Championship crown Saturday afternoon, as the Rams knocked off No. 3-seed St. Joseph's College-Long Island, 5-1.

With the win, FSC (13-2) -- which defeated the visiting Golden Eagles in the title match for the second-straight campaign -- earns the Skyline Conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships.

Farmingdale State junior Priscilla Signore was named the championship's Most Outstanding Player, after capturing a 6-1, 6-1 decision at No. 1 singles over SJC-LI's Shannon Merker, and teaming with Qurat-ul-ain Rai for an 8-love win at No. 1 doubles over Merker and Kelley McGrath.

Rai's identical 6-love sets at No. 4 singles versus Rita Wehrli extended FSC's lead, after the hosts led 2-1 following doubles play. Madison Schrader clinched the title at No. 6 singles, with a 6-4, 6-2 edge against the Golden Eagles' Victoria Panicola.

St. Joseph's (L.I.) had tied the team match in doubles action at 1-all, when the No. 2 tandem of Victoria Makulik and Michelle Stanczak triumphed against Tatiana Rosamilia and Michelle Fredericks by an 8-3 count. However, the Rams took the lead for good at No. 3 doubles, with a gutsy 9-7 decision by Schrader and Denise Liguori over Wehrli and Panicola.
