Men's Basketball - Players of the Week
Ammad Alkhulaidi – Mount Saint Vincent
Sophomore, Foward, Brooklyn, NY/Nazareth Regional
Averaged 19.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.3 steals per contest in a 3-0 Skyline week for the Dolphins…recorded 22 points against both Purchase and Mount Saint Mary to round out the week…pulled down 15 rebounds against both MSMC and St. Joseph’s-Brooklyn.
Andy Laurent – St. Joseph’s-Long Island
Junior, Guard, Amityville, NY/Amityville
In the Golden Eagles’ 13-point victory against Sarah Lawrence, torched the nets for 32 points on 11-for-16 shooting (.688)…also was true on 3-of-6 shots beyond the 3-point arc, while adding five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Men's Basketball - Rookie of the Week
George Riefenstahl – Farmingdale State
Freshman, Forward, Bayport, NY/Bayport-Blue Point
Scored 15 points in each of the Rams’ two contests, averaging 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per outing along the way…shot 6-for-7 against Yeshiva…picked up a double-double at Sage, pulling down 13 rebounds.
Women's Basketball - Player of the Week
Tyra Harrison – Farmingdale State
Sophomore, Guard, Baldwin, NY/Baldwin
Over a three-game week for the Rams, averaged 28.3 points, 5.3 steals and 3.0 assists while shooting .486 from the field (35-for-72)…reached 30-plus points two games in a row: against Albertus Magnus (30 pts., 6 asst.), and at Sage (career-best 35 pts., 5 steals).
Women's Basketball - Rookie of the Week
Kayla Cleare – Mount Saint Mary
Freshman, Center, W. Hempstead, NY/W. Hempstead
Averaged 7.7 points, 11.3 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game in a three-game effort for the Knights…15-rebound outing against Yeshiva was a career-high.
Men's Swimming - Swimmer of the Week
Cameron Martinez – Sarah Lawrence
Senior, Aledo, TX/Aledo
The Gryphons’ lone representative at the TCNJ Invitational had a successful weekend, posting three NCAA “B” cut times…those times included: 1:52.18 in the 200 IM; 48.24 in the 100 Fly; and 1:49.01 in the 200 Fly…this is Martinez’s fourth weekly Skyline honor this year.
Men's Swimming - Rookies of the Week
Anthony Lee – Sarah Lawrence
Freshman, Stevensville, MD/Kent Island
Second-time Skyline rookie-of-the-week honoree (Nov. 9)…posted career-best times in all of his individual swims at the Drew Ranger Invitational …placed second in the 100 Fly (56.47), third in the 100 Free (50.02) and fifth in the 50 Free (23.13).
Preston Truong – Maritime
Freshman, Austin, TX/Round Rock
Five-time weekly honoree (Nov. 3, 16, 23, 30), and fourth-consecutive honor…was a perfect 6-for-6 in races last week in dual meets against Lehman and Mount Saint Mary, including four individual finishes…top individual times included: a 2:00.25 in the 200 Free; a 55.97 in the 100 Fly; and a 23.00 in his leadoff leg in the 200 Free Relay.
Women's Swimming - Swimmers of the Week
Hannah Lawson – Sarah Lawrence
Sophomore, Portland, OR/Pacific Community School
Was a part of three Gryphons school-record swims…individually, set the school record in the 200 Breast (2:30.92) and 200 IM (2:18.33) events at the Drew Ranger Invitational…also was a member of the school-record-setting 800 Free Relay team (8:39.07).
Melissa Trail – Purchase
Senior, Pound Ridge, NY/Fox Lane
Won all three of her events (two individual, one relay) against Brooklyn College…touched the wall first in the 200 Free (2:00.11) and the 100 Fly (1:02.62).
Women's Swimming - Rookie of the Week
Devon Peal – Sarah Lawrence
Freshman, Springfield, VA/W. Springfield
All three of Peal’s individual swims at the Drew Ranger Invitational set school records…etched her name in the record book in the 500 Free (5:37.32), 400 IM (5:07.72) and 1,650 Free (19:44.50) events…was also a member of the school-record 800 Free Relay team (8:39.07).
