Skyline Spotlight: Tim Madden, Sage

Madden Earned ECAC Defensive Player Of The Week Honors On Oct. 8

2013 Season Highlights: A starter for the Gators this fall, he owns a 1.04 goals against average in 11 starts, while racking up 51 saves and an .810 save percentage…was named the Skyline Player of the Week as well as the ECAC Metro Region Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 30-Oct. 6…has registered shutout victories against Bard, Southern Vermont, Mount Saint Vincent and Old Westbury…compiled six saves in the Gators’ 1-1 tie against MSMC on Oct. 9.    

Career Highlights: The program's first four-year letterwinner as a goalie, he holds career records for most saves (107), most games played in goal (27), most starts in goal (22), as well as the most minutes played in goal (2,198)….is one win shy of tying the program record for career wins (12)…owns an 11-9-3 record for his  career…as a freshman in 2010, Madden had his season cut short by an illness and appeared in just two games for the Gators…had a 1.13 goals against average and .765 saves percentage in 2012 as the Gators captured the 2012 ECAC Upstate Championship.

In The Classroom: A National Honor Society student, he was also named to the school's honor roll as a Biology and Pre-Med major at Sage


"Tim has been a member of our team since the inception of our program and throughout his time here, whether a starter or sub, he has been a perfect example of what a teammate should be.  He has a tremendous work ethic and has continued to improve in goal each year.  Tim is enjoying his finest season yet and is playing the best soccer of his career helping get the team off to another good start."
