Skyline Spotlight: Hayley Hobbs, Maritime

2013-14 Season Highlights: Hobbs has been named the Skyline Women’s Swimmer of the Week twice already this season….leads the Privateers in wins with 14 so far in 2013-14 after recording 16 victories all of last season…has placed first in every individual event that she has entered and all but one relay team that she has been a part of has finished first as well. 

Career Highlights: In her first year on the team during the 2012-13 season, Hobbs earned first team All-Skyline honors in the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.65) and 200-yard butterfly (2:32.33) events at the Skyline Championships...garnered Skyline Rookie of the Week honors once and earned a spot on the conference weekly honor roll twice in 2012-13…has 30 career first-place finishes.

In The Classroom: A junior academically, Hobbs is majoring in Naval Architecture and has been named to the Dean’s List.

Did You Know? Hobbs is attending Maritime on a full Naval ROTC scholarship and will be commissioned as a Naval Officer upon her graduation in May of 2015, with hopes to become a Naval Aviator.
