Skyline Spotlight: Charles Saka, Yeshiva

2014 Season Highlights: Has won four singles matches thus far this season…did not lose a game on Mar. 9 in his victory at the third position as Yeshiva downed York (NY), 9-0…earned a 6-1, 6-2 decision at the No. 1 flight in the Maccabees’ 9-0 win over Sarah Lawrence on Mar. 12…was victorious at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles on Mar. 19 as Yeshiva blanked Lehman, 9-0.  

Career Highlights: Won a team-high 10 matches in singles play as a freshman in 2013, including a 3-0 mark at the No. 2 flight…compiled a 12-3 record in doubles action…garnered Skyline Rookie of the Week distinction on Mar. 18 and Mar. 25. 

In The Classroom: Saka is a Business major at Yeshiva.  He was named to the Skyline Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for achieving a 3.30 grade point average during the 2013 Spring semester.
