Skyline Spotlight: Danielle Maffei, Mount Saint Vincent

Season Highlights: Named the Skyline Player of the Week on Mar. 31 and the ECAC Metro Region Player of the Week on Apr. 1…has three multiple-hit performances thus far in 2014, including a 5-for-5 effort with a home run, three runs scored and three RBI in game two against New Rochelle on Mar.  27...went 2-for-4 with a homer and a pair of RBI on Mar. 29 in the Dolphins' 11-7 win over St. Joseph's-L.I...ranks second on the team in runs scored  (15) and homers (two). 

Career Highlights: Second Team All-Skyline Conference honoree in 2013…appeared in and started all 34 games…led the Dolphins in batting (.364), slugging percentage (.555), triples (five) and stolen bases (seven) as a freshman...recorded 15-multiple hit games…posted an 11 game hitting streak in 2013...to date has earned two Skyline Conference weekly awards in her career and one ECAC weekly honor.

In The Classroom: Maffei is a Sociology major at Mount Saint Vincent.  She was named to the Skyline Commissioner's Honor Roll for the Spring 2013 semester.  

Did You Know?: Maffei led CMSV in both batting average and grade point average as a freshman last season.
